LIGNA 2025, the world’s most important trade fair for wood processing, which is now in its 50th edition, ended on 30 May in Hanover. OT-LAS participated in the event with exceptional success, thanks to two new laser solutions for micro-perforation of wood that take this type of processing to a new level of functionality and design.
PX and CX Microperforation: the new frontier for acoustics and interior design
The new CO2 laser machines presented at LIGNA 2025 are entirely designed and manufactured in Italy, like all the technology of OT-LAS:
- CX Microperforation offers the highest level of versatility and customization in micro-drilling and decoration operations. Its absolute precision and flexibility make it the ideal machine also for refined panel decorations and coatings in interior design.
- PX is the most advanced laser technology for sound-absorbing surfaces. Specially designed for the microperforation of panels, it offers an impeccable quality for aesthetics and functionality. Thanks to its excellent performance, it is the perfect solution for attenuating noise even in large environments such as theatres, airports and shopping malls.
The numbers of success and meeting opportunities
With more than 78,000 visitors from 156 countries around the world, LIGNA 2025 has reaffirmed its leading role in the wood processing sector. The entire processing chain – from forestry to sawmill, from production to manufacturing, all the way to handicrafts – has found expression in the presentations of 1433 exhibitors. We are pleased to have welcomed thousands of visitors interested in the new technologies of OT-LAS at our stand.
It was a valuable opportunity to meet live with new potential customers and other companies in the sector. Listening to the needs of those who work with wood directly from companies and operators in the sector is for us a further stimulus to research and development of increasingly customized solutions.
The challenges of the future: technology for the environment
LIGNA 2025 was also an opportunity to take stock of the innovations affecting the supply chain and reflect on the challenges still to be faced, such as connectivity and reducing environmental impact. During the five days of the fair, these topics were the focus of numerous meetings to clearly define the status quo and outline together the prospects for the future. At OT-LAS, we are excited to actively participate in the development of the industry with laser technologies that are increasingly advanced, focused on efficiency and sustainability.
Looking forward to a new opportunity to meet, we thank all the participants who came to visit us at the stand.
